The EKT Library of Science Technology & Culture, was founded in the 1960s. Since its foundation the library serves all scientific and cultural communities of the country by providing some of the most significant digital services for scientific information in Greece. It also plays a central role in collection, organization and dissemination of scientific information in Greece, through undertaking national-wide projects such as the development of the Greek National Archive of PhD theses, supporting of the interlibrary lending services of the National Network of Science and Technology Libraries, the development and maintenance of the National Union Catalog of Serials in Greek scientific Libraries etc.

The library is open to the public, offering a friendly and creative area for study, scientific literature research and collaboration.

Found in 1871, the Athens Conservatoire – the oldest Conservatoire of the Greek State – has created a significant Library collection, which consists of rare books on music, theatre and literature, periodicals and encyclopedias, in Greek, French, German, Italian and English; scores and sound recordings, concert programs and books concerning the history of the Conservatoire, dating from 19th century until today.
